WP1: Ontology reasoning and querying D1.4 Mechanisms and Algorithms for Scalable Hybrid Reasoning
نویسنده
چکیده
for dissemination) This document provides details required to realize the framework for hybrid reasoning presented in D1.3. In particular, it presents the algorithm for reducing OWL-DL knowledge bases to disjunctive datalog programs. As explained in D1.3, this reduction provides the foundation for interoperability among a great number of formalisms, including, but not limiting to WSML, F-Logic, and OWL-DL.

متن کاملFramework and Schema for Semantic Web Knowledge Bases
The goal of our research is to provide scalable and efficient solutions for RDF knowledge management. There is significant research concerning schemata and tools for RDF storage and efficient querying. There is also significant research into ontology design, representation, extraction and alignment, and into representing uncertainty in ontologies. However, there are not efficient and scalable s...
متن کاملContext-aware Modeling for Spatio-temporal Data Transmitted from a Wireless Body Sensor Network
Context-aware systems must be interoperable and work across different platforms at any time and in any place. Context data collected from wireless body area networks (WBAN) may be heterogeneous and imperfect, which makes their design and implementation difficult. In this research, we introduce a model which takes the dynamic nature of a context-aware system into consideration. This model is con...
متن کاملImplementing Query Answering for Hybrid MKNF Knowledge Bases
Ontologies and rules are usually loosely coupled in knowledge representation formalisms. In fact, ontologies use open-world reasoning while the leading semantics for rules use non-monotonic, closed-world reasoning. One exception is the tightly-coupled framework of Minimal Knowledge and Negation as Failure (MKNF), which allows statements about individuals to be jointly derived via entailment fro...
